The International Short Film Competition, which is organized for the eighth time by the Ankara Photography Artists’ Association (AFSAD) on April 18-20, 2025, is held this year within the scope of "AFSAD DAYS 2025", which will include various events throughout April 2025. Short films from all over the world can apply for the competition. The theme of this year's Competition is "Image and Reality".
Applications can be made until February 28, 2025 for short films produced after January 1st, 2024, and the films will be presented to the jury members who are renowned in their fields. Applications for the competition, which consists of four categories: Fiction, Experimental, Animation and Documentary, will be evaluated by the Preliminary Jury. The films selected for the finalist and screening selection will be presented to the audience and the Main Jury on 18 – 20 April 2025.
In addition to the awards in the main categories, Turkish directors will be able to apply for the National Film Development Award and 2 projects deemed worthy of the award will be supported to be completed within one year.
AFSAD, which has been supporting production in the field of short film with seminars and workshops as well as its main engagement in photography for 48 years, further strengthens its contributions to art and cinema with short film competitions, which transformed into an International Festival with a program that is being enriched every year.
The competition welcomes short filmmakers, directors and audiences from all over the world.
